The Joshua Project maps the world’s unreached people groups. We map the campus’s — the international cohorts, teams, houses, and subcultures where no ministry is present — so leaders can see the gaps and go.

The scale
Four statuses, one honest picture
Every identified group sits somewhere on a four-step scale. The goal is simple: move every group off the left edge.
Unreached
No known ministry presence and no known community of believing students within the group.
Pledged
A ministry leader has committed to begin focused outreach, but work has not yet been verified as active.
Engaged
At least one ministry is actively working within the group right now.
Established
An indigenous, self-sustaining community of believing students exists inside the group.

Map the groups
Leaders identify the distinct student populations on their campus — by nationality, team, house, cohort, or subculture — and estimate their size.

Claim existing work
Ministries already present within a group claim it, so the whole campus community sees where the body is already at work.

Pledge the gaps
For groups with no witness at all, a leader can pledge to begin — a public, accountable commitment the campus admin verifies.
